New Mural Unveiling at the Bookstore Gallery!

We're thrilled to announce that our up and coming newest location in Edgewood now features a stunning mural, ready for viewing! Created by the talented Chanell Angelique Skyers, in collaboration with Red Bull Dance Your Style competition, who hosted

regional qualifiers in Atlanta this year; this mural celebrates the vibrant fusion of dance, art, and culture that defines our community.

Chanell, a multidisciplinary artist of Caribbean descent, has beautifully captured the essence of Atlanta's dynamic street dance scene in her work. Atlanta is a cultural hub, renowned for its innovative dance styles and rich Black heritage, and this mural reflects that heritage brilliantly. The silhouettes in the mural are painted in black, symbolizing the origin and beauty of Black culture—echoing Atlanta's status as a beacon of creativity and innovation.

The mural was completed despite some weather challenges, thanks to Chanell's dedication and the support of her mural assistants, Michelle and Vic. We invite you to stop by, soak in the vibrant colors and intricate details, and feel the energy of this remarkable piece of art.
